Helping marketing mavens catch the Cluetrain

This presentation seems designed to reach traditional marketers and help them catch the cluetrain. If it helps one marketer run with one less cringe inducing product placement into a conversation then thats got to be a good thing.

Don’t forget this is aimed at marketeers. Not technologist. There is not a single marketeer in the world that would question those statistics. And if they did, they’d probably be told they are working in the wrong discipline :)

Marketeers assume (and even embrace) the implicit marketing disclaimer “Attention grabbing statistics may not map to the actual reality we hope you’ll assume they represent”

There a rich vein of ideas to tap in the difference between your average marketeers and your average technologist.

Scott Adams (Dilbert) says it better in so many way than I could ever hope to so… http://bp0.blogger.com/_x_ADI5f-EKI/Ru61fN9I3aI/AAAAAAAAABM/5X4sGj4Toxc/s1600-h/dilbert2.gif
